Since July 1st, 2020, honour is viewed as an aggravating circumstance in criminal cases Sweden, and it suggested that related violence oppression should become a offence its own right. Interventions directed towards victims of crimes have been implemented, but fewer targeted the offenders. The purpose this article to mirror Swedish legal discursive framework against perspective perpetrators. While we discuss findings with relevance for practitioners, particularly light recent legislative changes, our main focus set on subjective understandings crimes. In particular, questions about perpetrators’ norms worldviews, their perceptions concept honour, experiences justice system are investigated. Using court verdicts deep interviews, highlight important themes under following four headlines: (1) Collectivism, norms, traditions, (2) Complexities crimes, (3) Marginalization, social vulnerability, stereotyping, (4) Reflections retrospect. This gives insight into some complexities courts will handle given pending changes legislation provides knowledge can be implemented work combat oppression.
